The Friends of Kohler-Andrae State Park is a non-profit support organization dedicated to assisting the Department of Natural Resources at the park. Members are committed to furthering the historical, educational, recreational, interpretive and visitor services programs of the park.

The Friends of Kohler-Andrae State Park organization was established in 1987. It continues the park's historical and vital link in joining private and state efforts toward our common goal of improving and sustaining the park.

Kohler-Andrae State Park has a very long history of citizen support. In 1928, property was donated to the state to create Terry Andrae State Park.  A second donation was made in 1966 that established John Michael Kohler State Park. The two parks now total almost 1,000 acres. The Department of Natural Resources manages them as one unit.
